However, I must make this short for the everyday practitioner and solo protectors. We have all undoubtedly dealt with difficult principals or clients if you have been in this industry long enough. This is nothing new to any of us in the protection industry. As a solo protector, you don’t have the luxury of relying on a team to help you deal with a difficult principal. We must adapt to the situation with tact, a high level of emotional intelligence, and most of all patience. One tool I use a lot is the CIA's World Factbook for countries I have no personal knowledge of. There are endless tools and platforms protectors have at their disposal for protective/travel intelligence data. Learning to conduct your own research is something many protectors fail to understand.
